Curriculum Coordinator Overview
The Curriculum Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring high-quality, individualized education for students by guiding curriculum development, lesson planning, and assessment. This position works collaboratively with the educational and clinical teams to support IEP implementation, student progress, and instructional integrity. With a strong focus on evidence-based practice and ABA methodology, the Curriculum Coordinator promotes educational programming that meets the unique learning and behavioral needs of students with autism and related diagnoses. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone with a passion for curriculum development, data-driven instruction, and supporting educator success.

Requirements
• Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, or Behavior Analysis
• BCBA certification required; Ph.D. considered with relevant ABA and curriculum experience
• Licensure as a Special Education Administrator or Teacher of Severe Disabilities in MA preferred
• At least 5 years of experience in teaching, ABA, and curriculum development
• Minimum of 1 year of administrative or leadership experience in special education
• Strong knowledge of MA Curriculum Frameworks, IEP development, and assessment procedures
Curriculum Coordinator/BCBA Responsibilities
• Lead IEP development, lesson planning, and progress monitoring for designated caseload
• Guide teams in student assessment, data collection, and instructional planning
• Ensure instructional programs are aligned with IEP goals and state standards
• Approve and support implementation of all curricula within the MEDS system
• Conduct planning meetings and provide timelines for curriculum-related deliverables
• Provide training on curriculum, lesson plans, and instructional strategies
• Oversee MCAS-Alt and other required state testing procedures
• Monitor student data and progress through academic graphs and quarterly reviews
• Support use of educational technology and contribute to curriculum development projects
• Provide direct care coverage or classroom support as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive learning environment
• Collaborate with nursing and team members on student health and safety needs
• Ensure maximum student independence and adjust instruction as needed
• Complete quarterly progress reports and support compliance with regulatory timelines
