Speech Language Pathologist Overview
This position is responsible for administering diagnostic and therapeutic services to clients requiring Speech and Language services. The Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) provides assessments and remediation services to our clients who exhibit difficulties across diverse areas of communication disorders, including language, cognition, articulation, social skills, and feeding. The SLP provides services in an integrated model which increases each student’s level of independence, functional communication and maximal achievement for post-21 placement opportunities.

- Monday- Friday 8a-4p (year-round)
- Starting Salary: $68,640.00 ( ) based on years of experience
Requirements

Master’s degree in Speech/Language Pathology required.
- American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) Certification and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), Pennsylvania State Teaching Certification (Act 48) and Pennsylvania SLP License.

Minimum of 2 years experience in special education field/speech and language pathology.
- Strong Clinical Fellowship (CFY) Candidate will be considered.
SLP Responsibilities
- Provides speech and language services to assigned students utilizing an integrated therapy model by implementing functional and appropriate goals and objectives per each student’s IEP/ISP
- Active participation on assigned student’s interdisciplinary IEP/ISP team. Participation includes completing assessments, evaluations, formulation of goals and objectives, progress monitoring and quarterly progress reports.
- Provides staff training to education and residential staff on any specific SLP goals and objectives, teaching plans or general language and communication topics.
- Provides parent training when needed assisting parents and caregivers in facilitating communication with their child when at home.
