What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Operator/Machinist position at Melron Corporation?
The CNC Operator / Machinist is responsible for manufacturing parts per specifications in an accurate and timely manner utilizing CNC machining centers and manual machining equipment.
ON THE JOB TRAINING IS PROVIDED
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to set-up, program, and operate Haas CNC vertical machining centers as required
- Exhibit proficiency in CNC programming, comprehend G and M code language, and have a working knowledge of off-line programming software applications
- Read and interpret blueprints and setup sheets to assure accurate machining and tooling setup. Read and interpret CNC/NC program readouts
- Perform machine and tooling setups at a high level of efficiency and quality. Set up mills, drills, and/or lathes for the next job during present job. Perform de-burring, inspection, cleaning, etc. during machine cycle time to maximize machine usage
- Requires mathematical skills that require the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, and perform geometric, algebraic, and trigonometric calculations
- Regularly meets with manufacturing engineer to discuss potential tooling, fixturing, and process improvements
Education and/or Experience:
- Requires education generally equivalent to an Associate's degree
- Requires 3-5 years of machinist experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
