What are the responsibilities and job description for the Orthodontic Patient Ambassador position at Melrose Orthodontics, PC?

We are looking for an Orthodontic Patient Ambassador to add to our fun and friendly orthodontic team. This role is focused on enhancing the patient experience, building strong relationships with patients and the community, and promoting the practice's services through various marketing endeavors. This role combines customer service, communication, and marketing elements to ensure patients feel welcomed, informed, and satisfied with their care.
Key Responsibilities of an Orthodontic Patient Ambassador:
- Patient Engagement:
- Welcome patients warmly upon arrival and create a friendly, positive atmosphere.
- Answer patient questions about treatment plans, appointments, and procedures.
- Act as a liaison between patients and the orthodontic team to ensure a seamless experience.
- Appointment Coordination:
- Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring patients’ needs and preferences are accommodated.
- Provide reminders and follow-ups to keep patients on track with their treatment plans.
- Practice Promotion:
- Share information about the benefits of orthodontic care, treatment options, and the practice’s services.
- Encourage patient referrals and participation in practice events, contests, or promotions.
- Problem Resolution:
- Address patient concerns or feedback promptly and professionally.
- Work with the team to resolve any scheduling or treatment issues.
- Marketing and Outreach:
- Assist in creating social media content or patient-focused communications to promote the practice.
- Build relationships with the local community and school system to boost the practice’s visibility and reputation.
- Facilitate teaching events with local dentists in the area
- Patient Support:
- Educate patients about orthodontic procedures, payment options, and aftercare instructions.
- Celebrate patient milestones, such as starting or completing their braces or aligner treatment.
- Support patients during the early stages of orthodontic treatment, which can be anxiety-inducing and stressful.
Skills and Attributes Needed:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Friendly, empathetic, and outgoing demeanor.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Familiarity with orthodontic terminology and procedures (or willingness to learn).
- Proficiency in using practice management software and social media tools.
- Calm and professional personality, while remaining kind and empathetic to various patient needs.
