The CT Scan Technologist plays a crucial role in performing CT procedures that adhere to radiological standards, ensuring safe and timely services that support accurate diagnoses.
Job Summary:
This position requires independent judgment and responsibility for designated areas, as well as participation in quality improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Perform CT Procedures:
- Follow radiological standards in a safe, accurate, and timely manner.
- Necessary for radiologists and/or physicians to make a radiological diagnosis.
- Maintain Department Supplies:
- Develop and Improve Relationships:
- Participate in Quality Improvement/Assurance:
Requirements:
Education:
- Graduate of an AMA-approved educational program in Radiological Technology.
- Hold CT Advanced Registry from ARRT or MA.
- Licensed by the Radiation Control Board of Massachusetts.
Experience:
- Minimum of one year experience as a CT Scan Technologist or 150 hours of internal cross-training.
- CPR certification required.
Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to work with detailed, confidential material.
- Ability to transport patients.
