The Clinical Manager-Nursing Workforce is responsible for the direction and management of the Nursing Education Department and the development of the nursing workforce.
Job Description
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Massachusetts RN Licensure.
2. 5 Years of RN Experience with at least 1 year as a charge/lead RN.
3. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
4. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Master of Science in Nursing (MSN).
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities listed below are intended to describe the general nature of work and are not intended to be an all-inclusive list. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
1. Collaborates with multidisciplinary stakeholders on strategies related to ongoing evaluation of our nursing workforce and workforce development, promoting best practices for nursing recruitment and retention.
2. Responsible for the coordination of the annual needs’ assessment and related nursing educational plan.
3. Supports the New Graduate Nurse Residency Program structure in maintaining accreditation status and growing program.
4. Oversees nursing onboarding structure.
5. Oversees contracts and relationships with schools of nursing and student internships.
6. Responsible for oversight of new programs.
7. Participates in nursing research.
8. Identifies avenues to pursue own professional growth.
9. Keeps current on regulatory issues and trends and employs strategies to meet standards in a proactive manner.
10. Supervises staff by evaluating work performance, providing guidance, and timely feedback based on outcome measures.
11. Recognizes, responds, and provides follow-up on issues, concerns, and suggestions on behalf of staff.
12. Develops and monitors operating and capital budget; implements strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
13. Performs performance reviews with staff.
14. Participates in staff interview process, provides direction and discipline to staff as appropriate, and orients new staff to facility.
15. Creates and fosters a learning environment that facilities the professional growth and development of staff.
16. Develops and implements processes to enhance operations and practices for ongoing quality improvement.
17. Develops, implements, and monitors written policies and procedures.
18. Leads and/or participates in hospital, departmental and multidisciplinary teams, committees, councils and special projects.
19. Plans, implements, and evaluates the delivery of nursing care in accordance with standards of practice.
Physical Requirements:
1. Occasional lifting of 30-35 lbs and turning patients.
2. Prolonged standing and walking.
3. Occasional twisting, bending, reaching, pushing/pulling, sitting, kneeling, and squatting.
4. Exposure to infectious disease and possible carcinogenic chemicals.
5. Exposure of blood-borne pathogens.
6. Requires fine manual dexterity to lift and maneuver patients.
7. Requires visual and aural acuity necessary to monitor patient care.

1. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare team.
