What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recruiting and Engagement Coordinator position at Melton Truck Lines?
As a part of the Employee Experience (HR) team, the Recruiting and Engagement coordinate will be responsible for recruiting for all non-driving positions and supporting engagement and retention efforts for all company employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform full cycle recruiting for a variety of non-driving positions: Review applications and interview candidates (over the phone and in person) to find the most qualified and best fit for each open position.
- Coordinate manager interviews and administer pre-employment testing.
- Process candidates for hire through employment and character verifications, background investigations, and drug screens.
- Onboard and hire new employees in our HR system.
- Welcome new employees on their first day and assist with new hire orientation.
- Manage advertisements and job board posting and track success by source.
- Manage open positions on company website (UKG).
- Maintain and accurately update job descriptions.
- Accurately maintain employee personnel records and files.
- Conduct wage and benefits surveys and research and recommend pay scales and department adjustments.
- Attend university and local career fairs and plan on-site career fairs as needed.
- Assist with employee retentions and engagement through surveys, outreach, events, training, and team building.
- Coordinate and plan company events.
- Support HR department with employee relations tasks including HR investigations, conflict resolution, coaching, and exit interviews.
- Supports Driver Services by helping answer queue calls and responding to driver survey feedback.
This position is in office Monday-Friday during normal working hours. Occasional travel may be required.
Skills and Experience:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build trust with co-workers and maintain confidentiality at all time.
- Customer Service experience required, high volume recruiting experience preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and open jobs and prioritize well.
- Must have experience with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel. UKG experience is a plus.
- English/Spanish bilingual is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
