What We’re Looking For:

As the Senior Proposal Manager, you will be a crucial member of our Enterprise Sales Support team, supporting our entire AMER Enterprise organization, with a focus on the Public Sector division.

Your primary responsibility as a Sr. Proposal Manager is to identify, pre-qualify and work on Tenders, RFIs, RFPs/RFQs, and contract opportunities. You will manage several submissions simultaneously supported by cross-functional teams within Meltwater and our wider partner network.

You will be responsible for managing different stakeholders in the cross-functional teams, including but not limited to; our talented colleagues from our Enterprise Department, Account Management, Partners & Alliances, Delivery Services, Solution Engineering, and Legal teams, to align on different elements and aspects of the processes while demanding a high sense of urgency and agility.

Within the Public Sector, you will act as a knowledge repository and work with the Sales Team on horizon planning activities, proactively contributing to the RFx and positioning us for success, including RFI and Capture programs, template development, compliant response frameworks, and working with our partner network to deliver relevant content for submissions on relevant contract vehicles.

The Bid Manager will support the development of complex solutions by using in-depth product knowledge and market experience, as well as provide technical expertise to our sales teams to develop their proposals for responding to these complex business opportunities.

Work experience with or within US or Canada Government Procurement, Contracting or Purchasing is preferred.

What You'll Do:

  • Project management for all RFx, response development
  • Responsible for seeking clarification from procurement officials
  • On top of amendments and modifications that might occur during the procurement process
  • Responsible for content preparation, conceptualizing responses, and writing compelling technical, and financial proposals.
  • Maintaining, updating, and creating tender templates.
  • Coordination and project responsibilities with cross-functional teams.
  • Work with the Sales leaders to develop a clear winning strategy for each bid and ensure win themes are clear and compelling.
  • Create, improve, and maintain tender documentation in different formats and languages
  • Own the “Go and No Go” decision process in collaboration with our sales divisions
  • Subject matter expert for RFx processes
  • Long-term planning and scheduling for successful RFx horizon planning.
  • Manage virtual bid teams and inputs from key stakeholders, typically engaging with sales, marketing, product teams, finance, commercial, legal, and project management/delivery
  • Drive continuous improvement, through post-bid reviews, both internally and with customers.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (in any discipline) with strong academic results
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken). Additional languages are a plus.
  • Comfortable with writing, communicating, completing proposals, and building relationships at the business level of English.
  • 2 - 4 years of relevant work experience, preferably with or within US or Canada government procurement
  • Familiarity with Government and Public Sector purchasing behaviors, contract vehicles such as GSA, NASA SEWP, etc.
  • Some exposure to sales processes from prospecting to the closing of business
  • Good interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, dependable, trustworthy, and well organized with the ability to work under tight deadlines and in a high-pressure environment
  • Natural collaborator, true team player, mature, professional, self-starter, and fast learner
  • Familiarity with the business and the market trends in North America.
  • Good to have prior experience with software demonstrations preferably in the SaaS industry

America Compensation Verbiage

  • Base Salary of $78,300 –$130,500 USD per year annual bonus [subject to the terms of the applicable bonus plan] uncapped [monthly/quarterly] commissions [subject to the terms of the applicable commission plan].
  • Total compensation range for this position: $78,300 - $150,000 USD per year.
