Position available for a Preoperative/Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse Manager at a rapidly growing, independent multi-specialty Ambulatory Surgery Center situated in Melville, NY.
This is a full-time role with a schedule from Monday to Friday, encompassing varied hours. There is no requirement for holiday or weekend work; however, flexibility to work later hours is essential, as it will be contingent upon the conclusion of daily surgical cases.
The center specializes in several areas, including orthopedics, ophthalmology (cataract procedures), ocular plastics, ear, nose, and throat (ENT), gynecology (GYN), pain management, and general surgery.
Key responsibilities involve: staff scheduling, recruitment of personnel, rotation between the Preop and PACU units, and overseeing patient flow. The role requires providing clinical management alongside leadership and coordination across both units.
Candidates must possess prior experience as a hospital or Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) Nurse Manager. Assistant Nurse Manager/Charge experience will be considered. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and PALS (with PALS certification to be obtained within six months of hire).
