Job Summary
The Petroleum Logistics Manager is an all-encompassing position managing the logistics and dispatching of all petroleum products sold by the Company in the various geographic areas serviced by the Company. The position manages subordinates in fuels and lubricants distribution, and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will have petroleum logistics and dispatching experience of petroleum products in diverse geographic areas.
- Directs regional dispatchers to ensure the most efficient use of transport and tank wagon equipment and drivers in all operating areas. Familiarity with the various fuel terminals in OH, WV, PA and NY.
- The candidate should have a driving and dispatching background and familiarity with current driver credentials, driver compliance and terminal carding requirements.
- Directs hiring/firing, training, scheduling, DOT compliance and performance evaluations to develop and manage the Company’s logistics in the most efficient manner.
- Preparing management reports surrounding driver efficiency overtime management equipment utilization.
- Supports and interfaces with significant customers in conjunction with Sales Representatives and/or Technical and Customer Service.
- Collaborates with Inventory for demand planning purposes, product line simplification and standardization. Works to identify and eliminate unprofitable items from sales line.
- Represents company at all times in a professional manner.

Education
- Recommended Bachelors Degree in Logistics, Business, or relative discipline. Experience more heavily weighted over education.
