Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Estimator to join our team. Duties
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to develop comprehensive estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for accurate pricing.
- Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam for take-offs and estimating purposes.
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure the best prices while maintaining quality standards.
- Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather data for estimating purposes.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to each project.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction estimating or related field is essential.
- Strong knowledge of cost control methods and construction management principles.
- Familiarity with project management processes and tools is preferred.
- Proficient in using estimating software, particularly Bluebeam or similar applications.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with contractors and suppliers.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail with exceptional analytical skills.
