Responsibilities:
- Assists in directing the daily activities of the Escrow team, including, but not limited to, delegating various audit reports. Trains, answers questions, and assists with team with establishing departmental procedures.
- Ensures staff is monitoring and saving pipeline reports according to departmental policies and procedures. Reviews Next Due Reports for Insurance, PMI, Taxes, Flood, and FPI. Consistently reviews the CPI/Cancellation Report and Delinquent Tax Report. Ensures all appropriate letters are sent in a timely manner and escrow accounts are established for forced escrows. Updates all applicable systems with current and accurate information.
- Ensures staff maintains timely and accurate servicing of construction loans, including approving and disbursing funds, ensuring draws stay within budget, completing inspections, retrieving lien waivers, and issuing final certificates of occupancy. Also ensures monitoring of Home Equity Line of Credits (HELOCs) and maintains communication with members and credit unions.
- Remains up-to-date on local, state, and federal laws which affect the escrow department's functionality. Communicates with the Escrow Manager to address questions, issues, concerns, updates, and procedural changes.
- Collaborates with other team leaders to gather input, brainstorm ideas, implement process and procedure changes, and address updates, as necessary.
- Secondary backup to phones. Answers and responds to phone calls and/or emails from members.
