Member First Mortgage is seeking an Insurance Specialist to join our growing Servicing team in Grand Rapids, MI. In this role you will be providing skilled telephone and electronic support services to the Servicing Department by answering incoming phone calls and emails, as well as handling borrower requests and issues. Responsibilities:
- Monitors the status of existing homeowner's insurance (HOI) policies on a daily basis via Allied reports. Answers incoming, insurance-related phone calls and responds to member emails and voicemails in a timely manner. Communicates with insurance agencies and other external insurance-related associates regarding a member's insurance policy to ensure proper policy documentation is collected; provide any additional follow-up needed.
- Monitors Allied reports and pays collateral protection insurance (CPI) policies for force-placed insurance. Reviews Allied cancellation reports timely to ensure cancellation notices are being addressed and the member is contacted prior to placing CPI. Monitors the Allied text notice reports and responds to member’s questions, when necessary. Responsible for administrative tasks related to service released loans.
- Ensures current insurance policy information is accurate in all appropriate Servicing systems; makes updates, when necessary. Verifies the core range, deductible, and mortgagee clauses are validated.
- Uploads insurance letters into the imaging system. Secondary backup to answering incoming Servicing phone calls.
Education : A high school education or GED.

- Ability to listen and communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.

- Solid time management skills with the ability to organize, prioritize, and perform multiple tasks simultaneously
