Responsibilities

The purpose of the DevOps Engineer position is to design, create, implement and support a wide variety of solutions to support the software engineering team that facilitates the efficient operation of the organization. This role would generally not have budgetary responsibility, but decisions may affect the services or products. This role requires regular analysis of data and the ability to meet interpersonal, analytical and organizational demands.

With moderate discretion, the key responsibilities of the DevOps Engineer include supporting the delivery solutions based on design specifications, designing, creating and implementing automation solutions to facilitate the efficient operation of the organization, performing analysis, prototyping, development and testing of solutions and maintaining and updating the organizations in-house developed software environment and solutions. Continuous learning according to the latest industry trends and standards is also an important aspect of this role. Working under limited supervision, the problems encountered are somewhat complex and may require analysis of data. Finally, the role will require normal courtesy, tact and diplomacy, which involves much personal contact with others.

SKILLS :

  • Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle with a focus on Continuous Integration, Automated Deployments, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Familiar with Agile methodologies / SCRUM

  • Ability to exert minimum amounts of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects
  • Qualifications

    0-2 years of professional hands-on experience in network, Internet and Intranet technologies
