Reports To: VP, Head of Fiduciary Administration Job Status: Exempt Base Salary Range: $125,000-$155,000 Additional Compensation: Annual Discretionary Incentive This is a hybrid role open to candidates residing near the MTC office located in Las Vegas, Nevada. Job Summary Members Trust Company is seeking a dynamic and experienced VP, Senior Trust Officer to join our Trust and Estate Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving growth and expanding our trust and estate services book of business in Nevada, and serving as a subject matter expert, while ensuring effective administration of fiduciary and investment management accounts. This role requires a combination of skills including relationship management, account administration and a proven track record in business development. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Business Development Drives sales of trust, estate, and investment management solutions through networking with regional centers of influence such as attorneys, CPAs and personal networks. Identifies and pursues new business opportunities, including high-net-worth individuals, families, and businesses in need of trust and estate services. Achieves and exceeds annual new assets under management targets for new trust accounts, and related services. Delivers compelling presentations to prospective clients and partners. Meets with and track referrals in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool while providing quality customer service. Participates in and represents MTC at conferences and seminars to clients and attorneys on estate and tax planning topics. Trust and Estate Administration Completes new account paperwork and gathers all required documentation needed for new account review and approval, in accordance with MTC’s policies and procedures Administers fiduciary accounts pursuant to the terms of the governing instrument, applicable law, and MTC’s policies and procedures. Reviews and interprets legal documents related to trusts and estates. Prepares discretionary distribution requests for Trust Administrative Committee approval. Collects and prepares all necessary paperwork for client transactions. Monitors and pays bills submitted by clients or beneficiaries. Monitors account daily cash balances. Conducts administrative account reviews and resolves exceptions. Prepares account closing paperwork. Works closely with beneficiaries regarding estate settlements and trust settlements. Communicates with clients regularly and provides quality customer service by meeting or exceeding the clients’ needs and expectations. Coordinates with vendors regarding marshaling, inventorying, and disposing of personal property and the selling of real property. Coordinates relationships with respective internal and external professionals, e.g., investment advisors, attorneys, accountants and family offices. Coordinates activities with the Tax, Investment and Operations departments. Resolves client and administrative issues. Adheres to established compliance and risk management policies and procedures. Assists with developing policies and procedures on Nevada-situs accounts. Serves as an internal mentor and educational resource, while staying current on applicable laws. Required Skills and Abilities Superlative understanding of trust and estate planning principles and products. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with high-net-worth clients and professional advisors. Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute business development plans. Self-motivated, positive attitude, with a results-driven approach. Demonstrates high ethical standards and integrity in all dealings. Proficiency in technology, including the ability to effectively use a variety of software programs and operating systems. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field required. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CFP, CTFA, JD, LLM etc) preferred. Minimum 7 years of experience in trust and estate administration including a minimum of three years working with Nevada trusts and estates. Physical Requirements Regular in-office attendance. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to effectively operate a computer and other office equipment. Travel required for meetings, conferences, etc. as requested. Key Performance Metrics New AUM: Total value of assets under management sourced and brought in through new trust accounts. New Clients: Number of new trust accounts established. Networking and Business Development Activities: Number of meetings, presentations, and events attended or conducted. Administrative Execution: Account reviews are timely completed, accurate and thorough, with reasonable plans to resolve exceptions. Discretionary distribution requests are timely completed with proper analysis. Daily Account Maintenance: Number of account overdrafts, risk management escalations, and errors. Communication: Responsive to client and partner inquiries within service level standards.
