Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Asbestos Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely removing and disposing of asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) in accordance with strict safety protocols and regulatory requirements. This position requires a commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work in hazardous conditions while ensuring compliance with all health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely remove and abate asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) from residential, commercial, and industrial properties.
- Prepare work areas by setting up containment systems, ensuring that the worksite is safe for both workers and the public.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), air filtration systems, and decontamination procedures.
- Clean and decontaminate work areas, equipment, and tools after asbestos removal to ensure no contamination is left behind.
- Assist with the proper handling, packaging, and disposal of asbestos materials in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Monitor and control the air quality in work areas to prevent asbestos fiber exposure.
- Complete required documentation, including daily logs, project reports, and incident reports.
- Participate in safety meetings and training to stay updated on regulations and best practices.
- Work as part of a team to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in full compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Certification as an Asbestos Worker or the ability to obtain certification within [X] days of employment (required).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in asbestos removal and abatement (preferred).
- Knowledge of asbestos abatement procedures, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA, state/local).
- Ability to use and maintain asbestos abatement equipment, including air monitoring devices, HEPA vacuums, and protective gear.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow strict safety procedures.
- Ability to work in challenging and hazardous environments (confined spaces, heights, etc.).
- Good physical condition, with the ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks (e.g., bending, lifting, climbing).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:
