Job Summary:
MEMCO is seeking skilled Carpenters to support with modular home construction. This role includes two specializations:
- Carpenter- Framer responsible for constructing structural components.
- Carpenter- Finisher specializing in interior finishing details.
Both positions are essential for maintaining high-quality production standards and ensuring durable, well-crafted homes.
Carpenter Framer Responsibilities:
- Construct floor systems, including joists and plywood installation.
- Frame walls, ceilings, and structural components, incorporating studs, headers, and reinforcements.
- Install trusses, roofing systems, hangers, clips, ties, and plates.
- Apply sheathing, exterior insulation, flashing, and window installations.
- Complete exterior finishes, including siding, soffit, and fascia.
- Frame and install porches and stairs at project sites.
- Ensure structural integrity, accuracy, and proper alignment in all framing work.
- Maintain an organized workspace and handle tools safely.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and PPE requirements.
Carpenter Finisher Responsibilities:
- Install cabinets, countertops, and built-in shelving with precision.
- Mount interior doors, trim, baseboards, and molding.
- Secure grab bars, towel racks, door hardware, and other fixtures.
- Install window treatments, blinds, and shades as required.
- Measure, cut, and install laminate flooring, ensuring proper adhesion and fit.
- Ensure all finish carpentry work meets high-quality craftsmanship standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints and installation guides.
- Work efficiently in a modular production environment.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and handle tools/materials properly.
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE guidelines.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience in framing or finish carpentry preferred.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools for carpentry and finishing tasks.
- Ability to measure, cut, and install materials accurately.
- Understanding of fastening systems, adhesives, and finishing techniques.
- Strong attention to detail for precise alignments and high-quality finishes.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Comfortable working in warehouse, manufacturing, and outdoor environments.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
- Reliable transportation and punctuality required.
