Job Title: Drywall Estimator/Project Manager

Location: Nashville, TN

Reports To: Operations Manager

Salary Range: $50,000 to $85,000 annually, based on experience

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Drywall Estimator/Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drywall estimating, with a focus on both commercial and residential projects. This role will involve preparing accurate cost estimates, managing project timelines, overseeing budget control, and working closely with clients and subcontractors. A deep understanding of drywall materials, installation processes, and effective project management is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for drywall installation, including labor, materials, and overhead.
• Project Analysis: Review project blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of drywall work and identify potential issues or cost-saving opportunities.
• Takeoffs: Perform material takeoffs using estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff or PlanSwift to accurately quantify materials.
• Bid Preparation: Compile competitive bids based on estimated costs, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in project pricing.
• Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination: Obtain pricing from suppliers and subcontractors, negotiating costs to stay within budgetary constraints.
• Project Management: Oversee drywall project timelines, ensuring deadlines are met, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Client and Team Communication: Communicate directly with clients, subcontractors, and project teams, addressing any concerns and providing updates.
• Change Orders: Review and prepare estimates for change orders or modifications to the scope of work.
• Budget Tracking: Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring financial control and the profitability of each project.
• Documentation: Maintain thorough records of estimates, contracts, bids, and all related project documentation for accurate reporting.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Drywall Estimating Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in drywall estimating and project management in both commercial and residential sectors.
• Strong Knowledge of Drywall Materials: In-depth understanding of drywall materials, installation techniques, and construction processes.
• Estimating Software Proficiency: Experience with takeoff and estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, or similar tools.
• Blueprint Reading: Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, project plans, and specifications.
• Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Project Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring quality and adherence to project timelines and budgets.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients, vendors, and team members.
• Bilingual (Spanish): A plus, but not required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with commercial drywall projects and high-rise buildings is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work on a computer and visit job sites as necessary.
