What are the responsibilities and job description for the HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR position at Memco?
Memco is seeking skilled GPS Dozer and Excavator Operators to join our team. As a Dozer Operator, you will be responsible for operating dozers to move and level earth, rock, and other materials. You will work on a variety of construction and excavation projects, using your expertise to ensure precise and efficient grading.
We are specifically looking for people who have experience with D5 and higher Dozers, and 336 type Excavators and larger.
Must have previous work experience with equipment above
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operate dozers to manipulate materials and terrain according to project specifications.
2. Perform regular maintenance on dozer equipment to ensure optimal performance.
3. Collaborate with site supervisors and team members to coordinate work activities.
4. Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
5. Use GPS and other technologies to achieve accurate grading and leveling.
6. Monitor equipment performance and report any issues to the maintenance team.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating D5 and up dozers in a construction or excavation setting.
- Knowledge of grading techniques and best practices.
- Ability to interpret project plans and blueprints.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and environments.
