MEMCO SER is currently looking for EXPERIENCED Journeyman plumbers in Houston who are willing to Travel!
Position Overview:
As a Journeyman Level 3 Commercial Plumber, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in commercial buildings. This role involves performing advanced plumbing work and ensuring the quality and safety of all plumbing systems in compliance with local codes and regulations. You will work on a variety of projects, from new constructions to retrofits, and be part of a team that prides itself on providing the highest quality plumbing services to our commercial clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain commercial plumbing systems, including piping, fixtures, and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems in compliance with local and state codes.
- Perform inspections and assessments to ensure plumbing systems are functioning properly.
- Collaborate with project managers and other trades to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and industry best practices to ensure a safe work environment.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to apprentice and junior plumbers.
- Document work performed, materials used, and time spent on projects.
- Participate in after-hours emergency on-call support when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Valid Journeyman Plumbing License (Level 3) with experience in commercial plumbing.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working as a Journeyman plumber in the commercial industry.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, installation, maintenance, and repair techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Familiarity with plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a variety of environments, including tight spaces and at heights.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on large-scale commercial projects.
- Knowledge of advanced plumbing systems, such as backflow prevention, water treatment, and HVAC systems.
- OSHA certification or other relevant safety training.
