Job Description: Construction Project Manager
Location: Rio Grande Valley, TX
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion in the Rio Grande Valley area. The ideal candidate will ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role requires excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills to manage multiple projects and coordinate with various stakeholders effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects, ensuring they align with client requirements and company objectives.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Manage all phases of the construction process, from pre-construction to project closeout.
- Monitor project progress and ensure milestones and deadlines are met.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as safety and quality standards.
- Lead and manage project teams, including site supervisors, contractors, and laborers.
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure quality control, address concerns, and maintain safety protocols.
- Prepare and present progress report, highlighting successes and addressing challenges.
- Manage budgets, track expenses, and approve invoices to ensure projects remain financially viable.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and other project stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager or in a similar role (5 years preferred).
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required with sufficient experience).
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in the Rio Grande Valley area.
- OSHA certification or similar safety training is a plus.
