MEMCO is hiring for an Experienced Commercial Carpenters/Scaffolders in Atlanta!
- Schedule: Mon - Fri 7am - 5pm; OT available
- Pay: $20 - $25/hr; BOE
Job Overview:
We are hiring Commercial Carpenters/Scaffold to assemble and dismantle scaffolding for commercial projects. This critical role ensures worker safety and scaffold stability.
Responsibilities:
- Determine materials needed for basic and intermediate scaffolds.
- Assist in scaffold erection and dismantling, including unloading, staging, and passing materials to the crew.
- Inspect scaffold components for damage or defects.
- Maintain a clean, organized jobsite and scaffold yard.
- Communicate effectively with crew members and supervision.
- Lead toolbox talks and mentor crew members.
- Perform all tasks as directed by supervision, including setting up, leveling, and squaring scaffold bases, attaching bracing, ladders, toe boards, and more.
Requirements:
- Experience in scaffold erection and dismantling preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting and handling materials.
A pre-employment drug screen will be required for this position.
