Sheet Metal Installers
MEMCO Spring is looking for Sheet Metal Installers to work in the Houston and surrounding areas
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Fabricate and assemble sheet metal products and components according to specifications, blueprints,
and engineering drawings.
2. Unload tools, prepare building site materials, stack building materials, and set up equipment
3. Follow project instructions from construction manager or supervisor
4. Ensure regulated and proper headgear, earplugs, gloves, safety glasses, and clothing are worn
5. Ensure construction equipment and tools are cleaned and stored properly
6. Use various tools, such as shears, brakes, and punches, to cut, shape, and form sheet metal into desired
shapes and sizes.
7. Weld, solder, or rivet sheet metal parts to join them together and create a finished product.
8. Install sheet metal products and components
9. Measure, mark, and lay out work pieces using measuring tools and equipment, such as calipers, rulers,
and squares, to ensure accurate dimensions and fit.
10. Inspect and test finished products and components to ensure they meet quality standards and
specifications.
11. Identify and troubleshoot issues or defects in sheet metal products or installations and make necessary
repairs or adjustments.
12. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including properly storing tools and equipment, to ensure a
safe and efficient work environment.
13. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries while working
with sheet metal.
14. Collaborate with other team members, such as engineers, architects, and project managers, to ensure
projects are completed on time and meet client requirements.
Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
Previous work with Sheetmetal installation
Reliable transportation
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to lift heavy loads as needed
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to pass drug screen
