Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Traffic Control Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and maintaining traffic control measures for construction sites, special events, and other locations where safe and efficient traffic flow is necessary. You will ensure the safety of workers and the general public by monitoring traffic and directing vehicles as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and maintain traffic control devices (signs, cones, barricades, etc.)
- Coordinate traffic flow and ensure the safety of both pedestrians and vehicles.
- Assist in creating and implementing traffic control plans.
- Monitor traffic patterns and adjust as needed to minimize congestion.
- Communicate with local law enforcement and other authorities regarding traffic issues.
- Inspect and maintain traffic control equipment regularly.
- Follow all safety regulations and guidelines.
- Report any hazards or safety concerns to management immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in traffic control, construction, or a similar field is preferred.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable transportation.
