What are the responsibilities and job description for the Toddler teacher assistant full time position at Memorial Child Enrichment Program?
Summary
We are looking for just the right person to workwith and play with the toddlers from 9 to 5 Monday through Friday.
There are no nights or weekends. We are a small preschool in downtown Greer with a family atmosphere.
Duties
- Care and Supervise children in an intimate classroom setting.
- Attend to children's basic needs by feeding them and changing their diapers.
- Teach basic skills, such as color, shape, number and letter recognition, personal hygiene, and social skills.
- Read books to entire classes or to small groups.
- Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental, and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, storytelling.
- Demonstrate activities to children.
- Must be able to see and or hear a child in distress up to 25 feet away.
- Must be able to lift 40lbs repeatedly during the course of each day.
- Must be able to sit on the floor with children and be able to get up quickly.
- available Monday -Friday 9:00-5:30pm
Requirements
- High energy.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
- An understanding of child development.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification or willing to take the class
- Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
Salary : $13 - $14
