ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES TECH, Full-time Days

Memorial Community Hospital & Health System (MCH), located in Blair, Nebraska, is seeking an Environmental Services Tech to join our Environmental Services team. As an Environmental Services Tech you will perform cleaning of all patient and public areas in the organization while following prescribed procedures and standards. Our Values are Compassion, Respect, Integrity, Excellence and Teamwork. Job Summary Hours: Five 8-hour shifts 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. per week, weekend rotation every 10th weekend (40 hours per week). Working under the direction of the Manager, Materials Management & EVS, performing cleaning and disinfecting in all patient and public areas within the organization. Follows prescribed procedures and standards. Cleans and disinfects assigned areas throughout the department, patient care areas, exam rooms, waiting rooms, restrooms, offices and conference rooms. As assigned, upon dismissal of a patient, disinfects patient room including bed, furnishings and bathroom. Performs general cleaning tasks, such as but not limited to; removing waste and transporting to the appropriate disposal area , dusting, wet wiping, and mopping. Performs detail cleaning such as wiping ceiling vents and tiles as appropriate, high/low dusting. Once properly training, has ability to operate ride on floor scrubber and UV Light when necessary. Ability to comprehend materials safety data sheets and chemical labels, OSHA guidelines, and isolation procedures required. The commitment and the ability to coordinate with other team members and manage duties efficiently to best serve patients. Demonstrates personal accountability. Good written and verbal communication skills required. Ability to multi-task. One year of Environmental Services / cleaning experience preferred. Job Requirements High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is preferred. Minimum of 18 years of age required.
