Memorial Community Hospital & Health System (MCH), located in Blair, NE, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Access Representative to join our team at the Blair Clinic! As a Patient Access Representative, you’ll be the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring a smooth registration process while delivering top-tier customer service. Your role will be essential in maintaining accuracy in patient records, verifying insurance details, and supporting various administrative tasks—all while upholding the highest standards of patient care and confidentiality.

What You’ll Do:
Shift: Part-time, 25 hours per week.
Perform patient registrations, ensuring demographic and insurance information is accurate and up to date.
Manage a multi-line phone system, schedule appointments, and assist with electronic communications.
Collect and update copies of Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurance cards during registration.
Obtain necessary patient signatures for consent to treat, HIPAA forms, and other required documents.
Process co-payments, provide receipts, and document transactions per policy.
Maintain financial accuracy by balancing the cash drawer at the start and end of each shift.
Scan and file Advance Directives, Living Wills, and Durable Power of Attorney documents into the EMR system.
Adapt to flexible scheduling and role expectations to best serve patient needs.
Uphold strict confidentiality and compliance with all MCH policies and healthcare regulations.
What We’re Looking For:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must be at least 19 years of age to serve as a legal witness on required forms.
Two years of customer service or clerical experience required.
Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare clinic reception role preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes is a plus!
