Memorial Community Hospital & Health System (MCH) is currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our team full-time. As a Respiratory Therapist, your responsibilities will include reviewing patient data, conducting diagnostic procedures, administering prescribed therapies, documenting patient care, and collaborating with the healthcare team.

Shift Details: Three 12-hour shifts 6a-6:30p
Evaluate the effects of respiratory therapy treatment plans, observe patient progress, and recommend adjustments as needed.
Perform cardiac stress testing, EKG, Holter monitors, pulmonary function tests, and other cardiac diagnostic procedures.
Assist in patient care by consulting with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Assist in designing home exercise programs, provide instructions to patients and caregivers, and recommend follow-up programs for outpatient or home health services.
Document patient care services accurately in medical records and department records.
Administer respiratory therapy treatments, perform bronchopulmonary drainage, monitor vital signs, and assess physiological responses.
Provide technical support to nursing staff and other allied healthcare professionals.
Offer therapeutic and diagnostic recommendations to physicians based on assessments and observations.
Assist during C-Section and Vaginal Birth Deliveries.
Ensure proper functioning of equipment by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and coordinating repairs.
Participate in problem-solving and achieve goals related to performance improvement and patient satisfaction.
Job Requirements:
Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy program.
Current Licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner with the state of Nebraska.
Must be registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care within 6 months of hire.
Current BLS certification required. ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required within 60 days of hire.
Experience in working with patients of all ages in an acute care setting preferred.
Must be able to work in various settings to include Emergency Room, Labor and Delivery, Med/Surg, and outpatient treatment and diagnostics
