Welcome to Memorial Health Meadows Hospital, a leading healthcare provider in the region. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Labor and Delivery team on a per-diem basis.
Job Summary
The L&D Registered Nurse will provide professional and direct nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process, collaborating with other members of the health care delivery team, including physicians, to assure quality health care. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and nonverbal, and be able to prioritize patient care effectively.
Responsibilities
- Provides for patient comfort, safety, respect, and confidentiality
- Demonstrates effective therapeutic communication skills with patients, caregivers, and family members
- Receives and assesses patient ensuring appropriate level of care as determined by their needs
- Utilizes data obtained from the nursing assessment and formulates a plan of treatment with other members of the multi-disciplinary team based on the patients needs
Qualifications
- Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is required
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross - ACLS and NRP certification required
- Minimum of 1-year experience required
