Job Summary and Qualifications
The L&D Registered Nurse will provide professional and direct nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process, collaborating with other members of the health care delivery team, including physicians, to assure quality health care.
- Provides for patient comfort, safety, respect, and confidentiality
- Demonstrates effective therapeutic communication skills, both verbal and nonverbal with patients, caregivers, and family members
- Receives and assesses patient ensuring appropriate level of care as determined by their needs
- Utilizes data obtained from the nursing assessment and formulates a plan of treatment with other members of the multi-disciplinary team based on the patients needs
- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care provided
- Incorporates the physician's orders into the treatment plan and interprets them to the non-professional staff providing care to the patient
- Performs treatment interventions requiring a physician's order and nursing licensure implementation
- Affirms patient's dignity and promotes patient satisfaction
Qualifications:
- Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is required
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross - ACLS and NRP
- Minimum of 1-year experience required
Estimated salary: $60,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
