Job Summary
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Emergency Department team at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital.
As an Urgent Care Specialist, you'll have the chance to work in a fast-paced environment where no two days are ever the same, delivering exceptional patient care and making a real difference in people's lives.
Responsibilities
- Triage and assess patients presenting for emergency care, providing timely and compassionate care.
- Document nursing notes to accurately reflect changes in condition, transfers, and discharges, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
- Administer medications according to physician orders, maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Respond to incoming telephone calls and coordinate ambulance traffic, ensuring efficient patient flow.
- Work collaboratively with the primary ED attending to manage care and make informed decisions.
- Educate patients about their medications, procedures, and treatments, empowering them to take an active role in their healthcare.
Requirements
- A graduate from an accredited school of Nursing with an Associate's Degree or higher.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state they practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross - PALS and ACLS certification.
