Join our dedicated team to work closely with cardiologists in performing cardiac ultrasound procedures. You'll play a vital role in ensuring quality patient care across various age groups, from infants to geriatrics, while contributing to the smooth operation of our department.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct cardiac ultrasound procedures in alignment with departmental standards.
- Create and manage daily schedules for inpatients and outpatients.
- Perform examinations on ER patients as needed.
- Select and utilize suitable equipment for each examination.
- Prepare patients for procedures and effectively explain the processes involved.
- Document clinical history, blood pressure readings, and technologist insights in our CPACS system.
- Collaborate with cardiologists and referring physicians to ensure optimal patient care.
- Maintain an organized daily logbook.
- Adhere to established protocols and safety precautions, including those related to patient safety and infection control.
- Keep the work area clean and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Assist in equipment maintenance and report any issues promptly.
- Showcase cross-sectional anatomy and pathology during routine procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, with authorization to access contrast media if registered.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
You must be ARDMS or RCS registered or actively pursuing registration. A minimum of one year of clinical experience in a progressive Ultrasound Department or training program leading to ARDMS eligibility is required. Prior experience as a Registered ARRT Technologist is preferred. A valid driver's license is necessary for outreach assignments, and you must be CPR certified.
