Overview
The Clinical Laboratory Cytotechnologist performs microscopic evaluation of prepared cytologic specimens and provides technical support for the cytology laboratory. Responsibilities include managing cytology specimen workflow, performing cytologic-based molecular testing, and supporting fine-needle aspiration and core biopsy adequacy procedures. The position also involves telephone / fax communication, slide transport, reagent manufacture, routine equipment maintenance, and quality control activities.
Schedule
Full Time, Day Shift - 7 : 00AM-3 : 30PM, weekends as needed. $10,000 Sign-on Bonus!
Qualifications
- Baccalaureate degree in Cytotechnology or a science-related field
- Valid CT(ASCP) certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Board of Certification (BOC)
- Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills, moderate physical effort, and ability to pass a visual color discrimination test
