About the Job
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Technologist to join our team.
Job Summary and Qualifications
Our Medical Technologists provide patients and physicians with accurate and timely results to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
The Medical Technologist performs tests and reports results of requested laboratory procedures.
- You will perform all approved laboratory procedures in assigned areas of licensure, requiring theoretical knowledge and technical expertise.
- You will exercise independent judgment under minimum to moderate supervision.
- You will determine the acceptability or rejection of results according to standards set for tests.
- You will perform corrective action when quality control results are not within defined limits.
- You will follow best practice methodologies prescribed.
- You will ensure high-quality test performance by performing daily maintenance and supply replenishment.
Qualifications
To be eligible, you must be currently registered as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist by ASCP.
You should have a BS in Medical Technology or a Baccalaureate degree plus completion of a NAACLS accredited Medical Technology program.
Hospital laboratory experience is preferred.
