At Memorial Health University Medical Center, our nurses are the key to delivering exceptional patient care. We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Children's Operating Room team as a Clinical Coordinator.
Job Summary and Qualifications
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator for the Children's Operating Room is responsible for ensuring high-quality patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. In collaboration with other members of the management team, this role directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a commitment to the organization's vision/mission/values.
- Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient-centered care.
- Participates in ongoing assessment of quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
- Supports facility efforts to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- Provides recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff, as well as implementing courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, completion of performance evaluations, and/or disciplinary actions.
Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is required · Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license · A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification is required · At least one year of RN (OR) experience is required · Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date · PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
