What are the responsibilities and job description for the PAINTER position at Memorial Health?
Overview
Provides painting and wall maintenance to all areas of Memorial Health System as assigned. Insures that work is
completed per established policies/procedures, work order specifications and appropriate codes.
Qualifications
Education:
· Associate’s Degree, completion of an apprenticeship program in painting, or four years painting experience required.
Licensure/Certification/Registry:
· Must possess valid Illinois drivers license and must be deemed as an acceptable driver in accordance with the MHS Fleet Safety Policy (five year MVR will be required).
Experience:
· Four years commercial painting experience required.
Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
· Thorough knowledge of painting and wall repair.
· Demonstrated ability to read, understand and apply complex building codes such as NFPA and Joint Commission.
· Ability to read and understand blueprints.
· Analytical skills necessary to estimate building costs and quantities of materials and supplies needed.
· Ability to work on multiple painting and wall repair projects simultaneously.
· Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail for long periods of time.
· Have basic computer knowledge.
