What are the responsibilities and job description for the CRITICAL CARE (FLEX) ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDER position at Memorial Healthcare System Physician and Provider Careers?
The Division of Critical Care Medicine at Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its team. The selected candidate will work alongside a team of motivated APPs staffing the medical and neuro ICUs across Memorial Hospital Miramar, Memorial Regional Hospital, Memorial Hospital Pembroke, and Memorial Hospital West, with support from a daytime intensivist. Responsibilities will include conducting new patient consults from the ED, OR, and PACU, cross covering existing patients, and performing procedures inclusive of placing central and arterial lines and dialysis catheters. The ideal candidate should have prior critical care experience as an advanced practice provider. Nurse Practitioner candidates must have a national Adult Acute Care Certification. Physician Assistant candidates must have a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (or Master’s equivalent) from an ARC-PA accredited program and possess a Physician Assistant Certification. A BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, and a Florida license must be obtained by date of hire.
The schedule requirements are three (3), 12-hour shifts (7 PM – 7 AM) per week, with rotating weekend and holiday requirements. This is a full-time employed position that offers competitive benefits and a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.
