Summary:
Administers the department's Picture Archiving and Communications Systems (PACS) and Radiology Information Systems (RIS) applications.
Responsibilities:
Assists with the development and implementation of departmental policies concerning the use and management of radiology records.Uses the PACS system and related applications to use and manage radiology imaging records. Monitors and troubleshoots the functionality of PACS and RIS applications.Supervises and/or performs staff training on the use of PACS and RIS technologies.Works collaboratively with IT staff to maintain existing departmental applications. Participates in the review and selection of new IT infrastructure and applications related to radiology imaging.
