Summary
The Manager Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is an addition to the Financial Planning team. S/he will report to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis and will have the responsibility for financial planning and analysis initiatives across the healthcare system.
Responsibilities
Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, and payroll.Collects relevant financial and operational information from multiple sources. Generates financial schedules and data visualizations to analyze findings. Discusses and presents actionable findings to leaders at different levels within the organization. Builds spreadsheet models and analyses to help internal customers make financial decisions.Leads the budget and forecasting process. Communicates deadlines and deliverables. Develops working relationships with finance teams across the organization including senior level executives. Provides financial assistance to develop budgets and forecasts.Supports the set up and maintenance of the existing budget and forecasting system including: making sure the data is accurate and reconciled, making sure drivers and variables are mapped according to the needs of the user, assists with error resolutions when issues arise, and writes new reports. Manages large data files to load budget and forecast changes into the system. Teaches others how to make updates.Provides monthly, quarterly and annual close support by reviewing variance of actuals to budget and forecast. Analyzes trends and prepares insightful reports. Proactively reaches out to obtain information for the explanation of variances and trends. Assists with the monthly board meeting finance package.

Complexity of Work: This role requires critical thinking skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, effective decision making, problem solving skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to identify issues, conduct investigations and work collaboratively with all staff toward resolution. Requires extensive interactions with individuals at all levels, including executive staff. The incumbent must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Required Work Experience: Six (6) years of progressive experience in FP&A, Finance, Accounting or related field. Six (6) years of modeling financial data using spreadsheet skills. Four (4) years of using and/or maintaining data in financial systems such as EPSi, Workday, Oracle/Hyperion, etc. System design and automated process understanding, report writing, implementation experience, and administrator responsibilities a strong plus. Workday and/or Oracle/Hyperion experience preferred. Other Information: Additional Education Info: or in Accounting, Business or a related field.
