Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Imaging Specialist to join our team at Memorial Healthcare System. This individual will be responsible for performing nuclear medicine imaging and therapy procedures, as well as managing radiation emergencies and monitoring radiation safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Position patients and perform imaging procedures using various equipment and techniques.
- Analyze images and identify issues with quality, taking corrective action as needed.
- Order, prepare, administer, store, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols and regulations.
- Monitor patient condition and report/respond to changes in status as appropriate.
Requirements
- Accredited Program: Nuclear Medicine (Required)
- ARRT American Registry of Radiology Tech (ARRT) certification or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) certification.
- BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) or equivalent certification.
Working Conditions
This position requires the ability to work in a stressful environment, take appropriate action, and make decisions with minimal supervision. The successful candidate must also be able to lift or carry patients weighing 35 pounds or more, as well as work with hazardous materials.
