Summary:
Processes, monitors, and reconciles payments on accounts receivable.

 

Detailed responsibilities:
• Receives payments and allowances from payers and performs data entry of payments, allowances and account adjustments.
• Reviews and processes insurance explanation of benefits statements for accuracy.
• Reconciles bank deposits to batches entered into the financial system in a timely manner to ensure accurate account data.

• PAYMENT POSTING: Posts insurance and patient/guarantor payments and co-payments.
• ANALYSIS AND DECISION MAKING: Uses decision making processes and tools to analyze situations and make effective decisions.

 

 

Education:
Essential:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Required to type 35 wpm.
