RN - Registered Nurse
Summary
Award-winning, nationally-recognized healthcare system seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in a specialty unit. Must have critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.
- Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel.
- Evaluates learning needs of the patient and provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including disposition, referral, and spiritual and/or psychosocial support needs.
- Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
- Monitors, documents, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
Requirements
- Accredited Program: Nursing (Required)
- One (1) year of nursing experience required.
- Must be able to obtain ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications within specified time frames.
- Must have intermediate or advanced Fetal Monitoring certification through National Credential Center or AWOHNN for L&D RNs.
Working Conditions
- Work environment may include exposure to bio-hazardous waste, hazardous chemicals, and communicable diseases.
- Must be able to lift or carry patients weighing 35 pounds or greater.
- Must be able to push or pull equipment weighing up to 75 pounds.
