Summary:

Develops and provides services related to the orientation, continuing education, and assessment of clinical staff. The role of Senior Clinical Nurse Educator serves all aspects of nursing in the clinical setting: Educator, Consultant, Researcher, Facilitator, Change Agent, and Leader.

Responsibilities:

Organizes and conducts support groups for patients and their families. Develops and disseminates program-specific educational materials and programs for employee, staff, and community. Coordinates pre-surgical assessment and care, including insurance authorizations, testing, and education/instructions. Coordinates and/or participates on a multi-disciplinary committee for the purpose of case reviews and current treatment protocols.

Masters (Required) BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART), BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART), Registered Nurse License (RN LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)

Additional Job Information:

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Required Work Experience: Five (5) years' nursing experience and two (2) years' facilitating learning/professional development. Other Information: Additional Education Info: Master's degree can be in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Healthcare Management, Health Information Management, Business Administration/Management, Education, or Information Technology. Certification Info: Specialty certification preferred.
