Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Radiology Tech to join our team at Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Woodforest. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring seamless surgical and patient care operations. - Operate C-arm equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images during surgical procedures and interventional radiology exams.
- Position patients and adjust C-arm settings to obtain optimal imaging results while ensuring compliance with radiation safety protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians to determine appropriate imaging techniques and protocols for specific procedures.
- Maintain and calibrate C-arm equipment to ensure optimal functionality and accuracy of imaging results.
- Assist in procedure room preparation, including imaging equipment positioning and maintaining a sterile environment.
- Provide patient education and support, explaining procedures and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Accurately document procedures, patient information, and imaging findings in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Monitor patients during imaging procedures and respond to any adverse reactions or complications.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement efforts to enhance imaging services.
- Stay up to date on advancements in C-arm technology and imaging techniques through ongoing education.
- Proficiency in patient positioning and adjusting imaging parameters for optimal image quality.
- Strong understanding of radiation safety principles and protocols.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration with healthcare professionals and patients.
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation and record-keeping abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in radiology and C-arm technology.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and imaging software (Preferred).
- Associate degree or higher in Radiologic Technology from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Radiology Technologist, with specific experience in operating C-arm equipment.
- Must have experience using both Siemens and OEC C-Arms.
- Experience in surgical or interventional radiology settings (Preferred).
- Certification or specialized training in C-arm operation and fluoroscopy (Preferred).
- Membership in professional organizations such as ASRT (American Society of Radiologic Technologists) or RSNA (Radiological Society of North America) (Preferred).
- ARRT certification or equivalent credential.
- Graduate of an accredited program in Radiological Technology.
- Must have a current Texas state license (MRT)
- One-year hospital experience required (3 years preferred).
