What are the responsibilities and job description for the OB Scrub Tech position at Memorial Hospital and Manor?
Description
Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Obstetrical Technician assists in nursing care and preparation of the obstetrical patient through performance of routine and delegated duties according to the standards and policies of the hospital. Performs scrub duties for scheduled, urgent and emergent C-Sections and associated OB / GYN surgeries and related procedures. Provides non-clinical support by setting up and preparing rooms after use, discharge or transfer of the patient. Also performs clerical and communications duties required to support efficiency and flow in the department.
Qualifications
Graduate of high school or equivalent preferred. BLS certification required.
Experience
Experience in surgery or OB nursing preferred.
