The Medical Assistant/Patient Experience Specialist Float is a clinical practitioner who participates in providing patient care. He/she creates a positive patient experience by consistently exceeding expectations in customer service and patient care, by coordination of clerical and medical activities of the healthcare team, patient registration activities, and facilitating access to Memorial Medical Clinics services for new and returning patients. He/she is able to implement and evaluate patient care specific to the age of the patient population served from newborn to the geriatrics. He/she ensures that quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with the clinic’s standards of care. He/she demonstrated performance consistent with the mission, philosophy and goals of the unit and organization; remains flexible to changing system; is expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice; and treats staff, physicians, patients and families with consideration and respect. Acts as a patient advocate at all times. To assist the primary provider in all professional and clinical procedures. Clinical procedures shall include phlebotomy, performing EKGs, urinalysis, and taking and recording patient vital signs.
HOURS: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm regularly, however coverage will include 7am-8pm when needed – Location: Bowen home base, float to Colchester and LaHarpe.
