Job Summary :
This position is a full-time and on-site day shift position that works a schedule Monday - Friday, with OR Call every 3rd week. Promotes and restores patients' health by completing the OR Scrub Tech process while working with all members of the healthcare team. This position reports to Nurse, Nurse Manager and Chief Nursing Officer.
Qualifications :
Minimum – Graduate of an approved Surgical Technician program, graduate and certified. 6 months on-the-job training in a well-planned and organized course of instruction in principles and practices of the operating room and central supply.
Clinical Skills, Bedside Manner, Infection Control, Medical Teamwork, Multi-tasking, Listening, Verbal Communication, Health Promotion and Maintenance.
Training :
o Annual education, skills and competencies required by MH
o BLS
Experience :
o Preferred 4 months operating room and central supply experience
Immunizations :
o Vaccinations are required per IDPH, CDC and CMS.
Physical Demands :
Typing –Occasionally up to 33% of time.
Reaching, twisting, bending –Continuously >
