Memorial Hospital is hiring a Pharmacist for our Community Pharmacy and Hospital Pharmacy. This position works 3 Shifts a week, 7:00am - 5:30pm with some Saturday hours.

JOB SUMMARY:
The staff pharmacist is a licensed professional member of the Memorial Hospital Team who, in keeping with the mission of the hospital as well as the pharmacy, helps to promote positive patient outcomes by assuring the efficacy, safety, and cost effectiveness of drug use.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy with at least a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy and duly licensed and registered in the State of Illinois with the Department of Professional Regulation.
2) Attend seminars or other educational programs applicable to pharmacy to maintain Continuing Education as required by the State of Illinois.
Requirements:
100% On-Site work. Must be detailed oriented, have great customer service skills and be able to lead Pharmacy Technicians work in a safe and professional manner.
TRAINING:
On the job, in conjunction with all Pharmacy staff (Pharmacist and technicians), completed in approximately 3 months.
EXPERIENCE:
Previous hospital and/or retail experience desired.
JOB KNOWLEDGE:
1) Have a good working knowledge of the Illinois Pharmacy Practice Act.
2) Have a good working knowledge of the Federal laws and/or rulings pertaining to drugs and controlled substances.
3) Know hospital policy and procedure manual and pharmacy policy and procedure manual, as well as demonstrate a thorough knowledge and understanding of the duties and responsibilities of a staff pharmacist, including standards of ethics governing pharmacy practice.
Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Verifying medication orders, monitoring drug therapy regimens for contraindications, drug/drug interactions, drug food interactions, allergies and appropriateness of drug and dose. Preparation of aseptic compounds including chemotherapy medications.
