Description
The Emergency Room Technician/EMT assists the registered nurse and physician with various duties in the daily operations of the Emergency Room, assists in patient care and the overall efficient operation of the nursing unit. This position is also responsible for reception, transcription, data entry, record retrieval, and other duties assigned by the nursing staff as appropriate to current licensure, certification, or education. Performs various duties related to the Emergency Department in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Must have High School Diploma or equivalent, and currently have or obtain an EMT-B certification or higher at the next available training within one year of hire. Previous experience preferred.
