Our ideal candidate will be a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility for providing patient focused health care. The ER RN will utilize the nursing process, communication skills, and problem-solving techniques to deliver quality care. The ER RN will also be responsible for the knowledge and technical skill needed to operate a variety of mechanical devices to accomplish this task.
In the ER, the RN is the first to take care of patients who come in with acute pain. They must be able to assess and diagnose patient and family needs, then develop, discuss, and communicate a realistic plan of care for each patient, in collaboration with patient, family, and significant other, in order to address all identified needs.
